ATM Biography
In 1995, two young men had a dream. Straight out of the projects of Washington Courts in Utica, New York, Ken Johnson (Iceberg), and Jonathan Brooks (J Easy) wanted to be internationally known for their lyrics and soulful sound. 11 years later Iceberg and J Easy started A.T.M. Entertainment (Addicted to Money) along with long time friends and savvy business partners Arthur Pearson & Peter Burke. "We got tired of the same ol, same ol, so we decided to invest in our talents and our vision. So many people want to rap, and get a record deal, but honestly we just want to make money and feed our families. We can't live in the hood forever" says Iceberg, A.T.M. Ent. CEO and front man. "It's hard work, but we on our grind, puttin that work in." In 2007, A.T.M. released their 1st official album called "A.T.M. Entertainment Presents Big Business Vol.1" hosted by DJ Vlad. Lyrical Guns like Face Thomas and Ty-Dolla also took center stage as part of the A.T.M. Family/Movement, giving the movement more ammunition and different personalities. Iceberg and Ty, who are also long time friends, collaborated with 106 N Park Freestyle Friday legend Postaboy, and A.T.M. collaborated with Terror Squad's Tony Sunshine. Face Thomas is currently in an ongoing contest in LOUD.com. He made the semi-final round and looks to be a lock for the finals. Iceberg started the clothing line "A.T.M. Entertainment", a modern day T-shirt/Hoodie line that promotes the A.T.M. brand. "Big Business Vol.1" has sold over 20,000 independent copies in Upstate New York, and over 10,000 copies overseas in Germany. "Our numbers are gonna grow continually overseas and we will eventually become international stars", says Berg, who feels like the group's recent success is light compared to what's going to happen in the near future. By the looks of the powerful music, business savvy vision, swagger, and buzz building upstate, he might be right.
